Emily Rekoski is a LCSW-C Providing Virtual Therapy to Clients in Maryland

Hi! I’m Emily, and I’m so happy you’re here. I am an integrative psychotherapist providing therapy to women who want more ease into their everyday lives.

After years of living in disconnection from my body and with paralyzing anxiety, I gained ease within myself through psychotherapy, creating stillness, nourishing my mind, body, and soul. Diving headfirst into my healing to the thing that scared me the most, myself, I was able to meet parts of me that were causing the dis-ease from within.

I have over eight years of experience working with children, individuals, and families of all ages in a variety of settings including residential settings, schools, and private therapeutic settings. My previous work in a multitude of settings, with a range of people has given me vast knowledge and competency in meeting clients within the scope of the human experience. After working in an array of settings, I found most people are living with these symptoms of dis-ease perpetuated from, not only their childhoods, but society, and patterns ingrained. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in social work and my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, I found the holes in the traditional talk-therapy model.

After practicing yoga asana and meditation for nearly ten years, I pursued deepening my practice through yoga teacher training. What started as a personal quest to deepen my practice, became a duty to serve. Yoga provided me the tools to come home to myself and prioritize my wellbeing, while the rest of my life fell into place. Moving through yoga teacher training, and trauma-informed yoga teacher certification, allowed the integration of the mind-body-spirit into the scope of my practice. Seeing the human as a whole.

I created With Ease Collective as a soft place to land as we do the deep work together, so you can come out on the other side connected to your body and living more presently.

Therapy should be a collaborative process and the client is always the expert in their own lives. I guide clients to heal themselves using person centered care and support tailored to their needs. I use top-down modalities and bottom-up modalities, having a background in TF-CBT [Cognitive Behavioral Therapy], IFS [Internal Family Systems; parts work], attachment traumas, Mindfulness, and TIY [trauma informed yoga]. I am Advanced Trauma Certified level one, and help clients make peace with the past.

It is my greatest honor to be a witness to my clients; all parts of them, the messy, the hurt, the joy, the healed, etc. Sessions with me are spacious and down-to-earth, allowing the full spectrum, of the human experience.

What’s important to me:

  • My health and taking care of myself; mind body spirit

  • Spending quality time with people I love; creating new experiences and memories

  • Immersing myself in different cultures and witnessing other beings

  • Simple abundant luxuries; yummy coffee, cozy clothes, neutrals, stillness, and creating art

  • Nature

I want to be known for serving and being in devotion to love, and supporting my clients find ease, while still living a life they love.
